VolSU held the All-Russian Pedagogical Forum with international participation ‘Strong Family - Strong Russia’
The First All-Russian Pedagogical Forum with international participation ‘Strong Family - Strong Russia’ was held on 14-15 May at Volgograd State University.
The Forum brought together teachers from educational organisations of different levels and researchers from Belarus, Moldova, Russia (Volgograd and Volgograd region, Krasnodar region, Yamalo-Nenets district, Moscow and Moscow region) and Serbia.
The participants of the event discussed theoretical, methodological and practical problems and existing approaches in the field of family education, the creation of mechanisms of interaction between families, educational organisations, public associations, social partners and business representatives in the field of education and socialisation of children.
Teachers and scientists discussed the creation of a common educational space for cooperation and exchange of pedagogical practices within the issues of culturally appropriate practices to strengthen family values, discussed the formation of the foundations of responsible parenthood, dissemination of positive experience of ‘family longevity’; development of knowledge among the younger generation about measures of social support for families, as well as ways of psychological assistance to families.
The speakers drew attention to the promotion and stimulation of research and innovation activities of young scientists, professionals, pupils and students.
The Forum was attended by representatives of humanitarian, social, technical, psychological and pedagogical sciences, university professors and students, researchers, heads and teachers of educational organisations, educational psychologists and child and youth counsellors.
The Forum included:
- Scientific and practical conference ‘Effective pedagogical practices for developing the culture of family education of children on the basis of traditional spiritual and moral values of the family’;
- Pedagogical skills competition ‘Teacher: Profession. Calling. Art’;
- A lecture on ‘Social projects in support of families, orphans and families at risk’;
- Foresight session ‘My family’;
- Contest of creative projects ‘The Russian family: Traditions and Modernity’.
Thematic exhibitions were organised: ‘The Topic of Family in the Paintings of Russian and Soviet Artists’ with a guided tour by Pedagogy students and the photo exhibition ‘My Family’s Happy Moments’.
As a result of the Forum, it was decided to create a unified educational space for cooperation and exchange of pedagogical experience in the use of modern culturally appropriate practices to strengthen family values, as well as to promote the development of creative potential of teachers and students and their initiative in the dissemination of best practices in family education, including the promotion of research and innovation activities of young scientists, specialists, and schools.
