Developing international relations
The Centre for Public Diplomacy of Volgograd State University hosted a round table “Opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation between Volgograd State University and the University of San Jose (Republic of Colombia)”.
The event was attended by First Vice-Rector, Dr. Assoc. Prof. Valentin Dzedik, Director of the Centre for Public Diplomacy Elena Parubochaya and Head of the International Office Larisa Tavkin, as well as students of Volgograd State University and colleagues from the University of San Jose.
The University of San Jose was represented by Rector Jose Ulises Contreras and Director of the Department of International Relations Octavio Libreros.
First Vice-Rector Dr. Dzedik gave a presentation of Volgograd State University in Spanish.
Valeria Kuryakova and Alexander Gladky, students of International Relations at Volgograd State University, under the supervision of Elena Parubochaya, associate professor of the Department of History and International Relations, prepared a presentation in Spanish about the hero city of Volgograd and Russian-Colombian relations.
The parties discussed possible areas of interaction and the Colombian side presented a roadmap for further cooperation. The universities agreed to continue discussing current issues of bilateral university interaction in the online format.
