Prospects for studying the Korean language
As part of the implementation of the Eastern Vector university project on international cooperation, a webinar on the Prospects for studying the Korean language in the present and the future was held. The webinar was organized by the Research and Educational Center for Korean Studies "Korean Studies" of Volgograd State University in cooperation with the Research and Educational Center for Korean Studies "Korean Studies" of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University.
The webinar was attended by the students and the faculty of Volgograd State University, as well as representatives of the Rostov branch of the Korean Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Russian Federation.
A lecture to the participants of the webinar was made by Prof. Ko Young Cheol, head of the Research and Educational Center for Korean Studies "Korean Studies" of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. He told VolSU students about the importance of studying the Korean language in the modern world, the problems students face when studying Korean, modern life in the Republic of Korea, as well as its education system, opportunities and conditions for Russian students to enter Korean universities, internships, government scholarships and grants to study at universities in the Republic of Korea.
It should be noted that the coming events include the youth festival of Korean culture at VolSU in September 2021 during the traditional Korean harvest festival Chuseok (Autumn eve).
