Prof. Dr. Alla Kalinina took part in the «Caspian 2021» International Research Forum

The «Caspian 2021» International Research Forum started with a meeting of South of Russia Universities Rectors Council and the heads of the North Caucasus Federal District universities. The agenda included the following topical issues of higher education: the universities role in the Priority 2030 program implementation, the development of Research and Educational Centers as well as the consortium effectiveness and the universities research and educational interaction in the Black Sea region. The forum speakers were Mr. Vladimir Gurba, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District, Mr. Andrey Omelchuk, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Mrs. Marina Borovskaya, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities in the South of Russia, President of Southern Federal University. In total, 35 rectors of Russian universities attended the forum. Prof. Dr.Alla Kalinina, VolSU rector, noticed that VolSU was one of the founders of NKO Association of Researchers and Organizations for the Multilateral International Cooperation Promotion in the Field of Science, Innovation and Education in the Black Sea Region (nonprofit organization). She also highlights that VolSU is going to take part in projects and programs in the research, innovation and educational spheres implementation.

The forum hosted a meeting of the rectors of Volgograd and Astrakhan State Universities. Prof. Dr. Alla Kalinina and Dr. Konstantin Markelov signed an agreement on the establishment of the Consortium named "Competence Center of the South of Russia for Training Foreign Specialists and Social and Cultural Adaptation of Foreign Citizens in a Multicultural Region". Thus, the consortium united Volgograd State University, Southern Federal University, Kalmyk State University named after B. Gorodovikov and Astrakhan State University.
