The Center for Public Diplomacy of Volgograd State University organized a meeting of the International Discussion Club on the topic "EU-US Public Diplomacy". The event was attended by senior students studying International Relations and Foreign Regional Studies as well as junior students, for whom it was the first experience in the debates.

The Director of the Center for Public Diplomacy Ms. Elena Parubochaya welcomed all the participants and noted the importance of the International Discussion Club activity, where students could express their views discussing current and urgent issues on modern international relations.

Within the framework of the event, the public diplomacy structure of the European Union and the United States of America as well as issues of its implementation at the current stage were discussed. Experts of the Center for Public Diplomacy and students talked about the main activities of EU-US public diplomacy, its institutional structure and current trends, the role of public diplomacy in international branding.

At the end of the event, the most active participants received memorable gifts. They also expressed their wish to continue discussing the issues of EU-US public diplomacy.
