2013 — obtained Doctor of Philology degree.
1997 — obtained Candidate of Philology degree.
1991 — graduated with honors from Volgograd State University, specializing in Philology.
Professional achievements:
On September 2, 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilyin was appointed vice-rector for academic affairs of Volgograd State University. He has been working at the university since June 1991.
2012–2020 — Head of the Department of Russian Philology and Journalism.
2008–2012 — doctoral studies.
2000–2008 — Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism.
Research interests include the issues of functional and semantic research of onomastics, regional toponymy, functional morphology, lexicology, theory of writing, linguistic and cultural description of a language of a region, linguistic ecology.
Significant achievements:
- Member of two dissertation councils (Д 212.029.05 at Volgograd State University and Д 212.084.06 at the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University), member of the editorial boards of “Science Journal of Volgograd State University. Linguistics”, “Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University. Language and Literature”, “Bulletin of Ufa Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia” journals.
- Participates in the development of scientific and methodological support for teaching in philological specialisations; a member of the Federal Educational and Methodological Association for Linguistics and Literary Studies; an expert of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science since 2015; an expert of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research since 2014.
- 168 publications, including 5 individual and collective monographs based on the results of scientific research and 14 training manuals.
- Completed 10 grants as a manager and co-executor.
