Volgograd International Model UN-2021

The XI Volgograd International Model United Nations 2021 (VolgMUN'21) was launched at Volgograd State University.

This is a scientific conference in the format of a diplomatic simulation. Students and schoolchildren in the official languages ​​of the UN reproduce the work of the committees, acquire diplomatic, leadership and public speaking skills, as well as the ability to work in a team. Events of this format are organized by the largest universities in the world. The Model UN has been held in Volgograd since 2011.

This year VolgMUN'21 six committees are representedby the UN Development Program, World Tourism Organization, Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Security Council, Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, Information Committee.

The first vice-rector of VolSUDr. ValentinDzedikhighlighted the importance of the ability to negotiate, conduct a diplomatic dialogue preserving peaceful relations and protecting the interests of the country.

XI Volgograd International Model UN 2021 is supported by the UN Information Center in Moscow. By video link, the delegates of the conference were greeted by the Deputy Director of the Center Mr. Vladimir Pavinsky who noted the significance of the UNmission adopted 75 years ago. It is necessary to unite efforts with like-minded peoplefor successful work.

The VolgMUN'21 program includes lectures by experts, committee meetings, press conferences and a cultural program. The conference will end on April 30, 2021.
