New cooperation agreement with foreign university
The outgoing 2020 is marked by signing the new cooperation agreement with foreign university. The new partner of Volgograd State University is Baranavichy State University (Baranavichy, Republic of Belarus). The agreement was signed during the online solemn ceremony by the first vice-rector of VolSU Dr. Valentin Dzedik and the rector of BarSU Prof. Dr. Vasily Kochurko.
Dr. V. Dzedik on behalf of VolSU rector Prof. Dr. Alla Kalinina thanked BarSU for its initiative and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation. VolSU, as a large research and educational center, has more than 30 objects of scientific infrastructure. It publishes a number of scientific journals that are included in prestigious international and national scientometric databases. VolSU is developing in 149 fields of study, has 99 study programs implemented in the bachelor's, specialist's and master's degrees, 8 programs of secondary vocational education, some of which are among the best Russian educational programs. VolSU prepares postgraduate students and doctors as well. Currently there is also a number of Dissertation Councils.
According to the cooperation agreement, in order to develop research, educational and social-cultural activities, both universities plan to organize joint scientific conferences, seminars and symposiums, implement projects and form collaborative writing teams, exchange the results of research and development, publications and educational materials as well as experience in implementing advanced technologies and teaching methods. In addition, professors, young researchers, staff and students are going to participate in an academic exchange for lecturing and for learning the history, culture and educational system of Belarus and Russia.
