Professor of the Russian-Armenian University gave an online lecture at the Center for Public Diplomacy of VolSU
The Center for Public Diplomacy hosted an online lecture by Doctor of History Beniamin Pogosyan, a professor at the Russian-Armenian University, director of the Center for Political and Economic Strategic Studies of the Political Science Association (Yerevan, Armenia). The title of the lecture was "Foreign Policy Priorities of the Republic of Armenia in the Period of Global Changes". The event was attended by students of the Department of History and International Relations. Assoc. Prof. Elena Parubochaya, PhD in History, Director of the Center for Public Diplomacy of VolSU, was the moderator of the event.
During the online lecture, Dr. Beniamin Pogosyan explained the specifics of building relationships of the Republic of Armenia with the Russian Federation and Western countries. The main aspects of the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, considering the current international situation, were outlined, as well as the issues of attracting the attention of the international community to solving the urgent problems of Nagorno-Karabakh. In addition, the importance of building relationships between the Republic of Armenia and the EAEU members was separately noted.

The students addressed Dr. Pogosyan several questions on the current political agenda of Russian-Armenian relations in the trade, economic and cultural spheres. The audience was particularly interested in forecasts on further settlement of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Center for Public Diplomacy of Volgograd State University develops relationships with representatives of the scientific community of the Republic of Armenia. In September 2021, Dr. Beniamin Pogosyan, as well as Johnny Melikyan, PhD in Politics, Head of the Center for Political and Legal Studies (Yerevan, Armenia), took part in the "Humanitarian Cooperation and Youth Diplomacy of the EU-EAEU during the COVID-19 pandemic: new practices, risks and trends" project organized by the Center for Public Diplomacy.
