Interfax ranking: VolSU is the regional leader in education and innovation

Volgograd State University climbed up almost 20 positions compared to the previous year and ranked 118-119 in the National University Ranking 2022 (NRU-2022) by the Interfax Group. According to the Education parameter, VolSU holds the lead in the region for the second year. In the Innovation parameter, VolSU rose from 213 to 69th place in the country and became the leader in the region.

The National University Ranking (NRU) evaluates universities according to six parameters: education; research activity; social environment; internationalization; brand; innovation. The project has been implemented by the Interfax international information and analytical group since 2010. According to the experts of the group, the main objectives of the ranking are to develop mechanisms and procedures for an independent evaluation system of Russian universities and their educational programs, to increase the competitiveness of the Russian education system, research and technological entrepreneurship, as well as the development of federal and regional universities. The ranking data sources include questionnaires provided by universities, public data and information and analytical systems of Interfax — SPARK and SCAN.

The total number of NRU-2022 participants increased by 17 compared to the 2021 edition and amounted to 358 higher educational institutions. The full rating is available here (in Russian).
