VolSU young researcher’s development is included in the British magazine

QS GEN заметка от 03.06 (2).pngThe prestigious British magazine QS Global Education News (QS GEN), by Quacquarelli Symonds, world's largest ranking agency, has already published the articles about VolSU researchers achievements for several times. In previous issues, the magazine included the articles about advanced developments of researchers from the TeleNovo Engineering Center and the Institute of Priority Technologies. The May 2021 issue includes an article about the development of Mr. Ilya Danilenko, a 1st-year student of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technology.

Ilya has developed a universal swarm of drones-quadrocopters created to search and rescue people in the forest. The development is fully automated. Copters are able to select independently a search area. If one of the copters runs out of power or breaks down, the other devices will be notified of this by the system, they themselves will rearrange their route so as to cover the territory assigned to the failed copter. In addition, drones-quadrocopters without the help of an operator overcome all external obstacles encountered in their path, including the crowns of trees.

Now this development is known far beyond the borders of Russia. The British magazine QS Global Education News is dedicated to universities outstanding achievements, innovations and developments. The ranking agency, that publishes the magazine, specializes in analyzing the higher education institutions activities and has a world reputation. In total, the 4th issue published articles from 7 Russian universities, including VolSU.
