VolSU students are the leaders of Volgograd region

The regional stage of the Student Leader - 2021 All-Russian competition was held at Volgograd State Technical University. The competition is aimed at supporting interested and talented young people. Seven participants, including Volgograd State University representatives, competed for the regional leaders title.

This year, our university was represented by Mr. Artem Kotov, deputy chairman of VolSU Students Trade Union Organization, and Mr. Ivan Khomyakov, chairman of Trade Union Bureau of the Institute of History, International Relations and Social Technologies. Mr. Kotov took second place and Mr. Khomyakov took the third one.

Mr. Kotov noticed that in addition to the performances on the stage, there was a lot of "homework" (self-portrait making, a grant project, methodological argumentation of tools for content promoting). According to Mr. Kotov, it was a great honor for him to represent VolSU at the most important student competition.

Mr. Ivan Khomyakov said that the competition gave him an invaluable experience as well as soft skills and a lot of new friends. He was also proud to defend the honor of Volgograd State University.

As a result of the event, Mr. Kotov will take part in the competition district stage, which will be held in the summer in one of the Southern Federal District regions.
